Welcome! Hope you enjoyed your tea. :) My flavor of the day is Lipton's Tuscan Lemon; yesterday it was Honey Ginseng. There's been a discussion of tea among our colleagues on Twitter...seems like there are lots of tea enthusiasts in our midst.
I love Lady Grey tea, so tasty! Also a fan of Tazo's 'Zen' blend, and that 'Plantation Mint' (which, incidentally, is not readily available on the West coast but is everywhere out here). Tea is good. And then there's the tea that is high tea -- there's a place up in Ellicott City that does afternoon tea, and it's most tasty.
My favorite is actually Mrs. Gray which I buy at Teavana at Annapolis Mall. It costs more but it's turned me into a tea snob. I have a relative who is in Assam, India and she is returning with some Assam tea. They have two-one you drink with milk and sugar, one without.
Thanks for the welcome. We should do tea sometime.
I have some friends who are real tea snobs. They sneer at me when I use tea bags, and one of them turned pale when I said I make tea at work with the hot water from the water cooler.
Don't get me wrong, I like a nice pot of regulation boiling water & loose leaves, strainer and all...but there's a time & place for everything, and the library kitchen during a 15-minute break is neither the time nor the place.
I love tea too! Have you been to the East West Tea Emporium on Rt 2 in Arnold? The ladies there are fantastic. They remember what you like and dislike and save samples for you. They have an infrequently updated website at www.eastwesttea.com. They are only open Saturdays from 12-4 so that prevents me from visiting them every Saturday!
My current favorite is peach spice tea but I became a tea snob over their chocolate masala chai last spring. If you visit tell them Heather sent you!
P. S. Don is right, it is hard to do real tea in the branch. Tea bags work best for breaks.

Welcome to the fun. happier blue is right, we seem to have a fair number of tea lovers around.
My current favorite is Twinings Ceylon blend, with their English Afternoon running a close second.

Oh, and welcome to Web 2.0! :-)
How about Assam and Russian Caravan?
Maybe if we called our 4 pm dinner break high tea it would seem more appealing.
